A rare timing bezel…
The Heuer Autavia was envisaged as a watch for both the automotive and aviation fields – hence AUT-AVIA. This is a rare version of the 2446 that is fitted with a black tachymeter bezel, which remains in beautiful condition. The black dial is also in outstanding condition – it is maybe the cleanest we have ever seen on one of these watches!
The steel case remains strong in all areas. The watch is fitted with the pictured Bulang and Sons leather strap, onto which we have fixed a (rare and valuable!) vintage Heuer steel pin buckle. The manual wind Valjoux 72 movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
